Happy Days #5

Joining in with the HappyDays Linky, inspiring people to make the most of every day.

Out and about

We had a wonderful autumn walk last weekend - it was bright and crisp and there were loads of leaves for kicking! We collected lots of little treasures to make an Autumn Discovery Jar.

Daddy had a day off on Monday so that he could look after Rosalie whilst I went into the office for a Keeping In Touch day. I always find it really strange when I don't have her with me (it doesn't happen very often), I feel like I'm missing part of me!

We also took a stroll down the canal with Daddy, and Rosalie had lots of fun exploring!

Fun at home

We've spent a fair bit of time at home this week, as I've been squeezing work in whilst Rosalie naps. But together we've done plenty of exploring - she is so fast at crawling now, we can play a good game of hide and seek around the furniture!

I also made her some Treasure Baskets - one with shiny/metal things in and one with different fabrics. When searching for fabrics I came across an old beach sarong which was a big hit!

We've had a few frustrated days towards the tail end of this week - Rosalie is really trying hard to take steps and likes to be walked around whilst I hold her hands and she attempts to 'cruise' around her playpen, but I think she is finding it quite exhausting.

See also, what we've been enjoying reading this week.

Time for me

Does going into the office count as 'me time'?! You're right, probably not! I'm not terribly good at this time for me malarkey. But, I have now cooked 9 recipes for my baking challenge, this week I made an apricot fruit loafcrown loaf and apple and cinnamon cake which was delicious.

My happiest moment

Was during our autumn walk last weekend - I just love the season and as we were strolling hand in hand I just felt overwhelmed with happiness at how lucky I am to have such a wonderful husband and beautiful daughter.

Next week I would like to try...

To have some time for me that doesn't involve working, blogging or baking - perhaps just half an hour to read my book would be nice! Oh, and an early night - blogging isn't very conducive to early nights is it?!

Check out my other Happy Days posts so far.
