A Winter Bucket List - 22 Fun Festive Activities

Since the weather has turned colder my thoughts have turned to winter activities and festive traditions I would like to share with Rosalie. Since she was only four days old last Christmas, this is her first proper festive season; I know she won't be able to join in with all of these just yet, but hopefully this list will be something we can come back to each year.

Here is our winter bucket list (oh look, we've managed to tick one off already!):
  1. Make paper snowflakes
  2. Build a snowman
  3. Make seedy fat balls for the birds
  4. Make pomanders
  5. Go ice skating
  6. Crunch through fresh snow
  7. Have a snowball fight
  8. Make mulled wine (non-alcoholic for R of course!)
  9. Choose a Christmas tree
  10. Drink hot chocolate with marshmallows & cream
  11. Decorate the house with lights
  12. Make paper chains
  13. Bake cookies
  14. Watch The Snowman animation
  15. Make mince pies
  16. Make Christmas sweets
  17. Sing Christmas carols
  18. Make a gingerbread house
  19. Snuggle up for a Christmas movie marathon
  20. Go for a boxing day walk to burn off Christmas dinner
  21. Read The Night Before Christmas
  22. Make snow angels
Several of these rely on there being snowfall - in the UK you just never know, but fingers crossed!

What things are you hoping to do this winter? Are there any traditions you really want to carry on with your little ones?

  1. I love the idea of creating a winter wish list! Like you I am really, really hoping it snows as it would be Bubs' first experience of snow.
