Spring is coming! {the ordinary moments}

There is a definite hint of spring in the air now don't you think? The evenings are beginning to get lighter which means it won't be too long before we can get outside in the afternoons after nap time. And although the early mornings are still chilly, the days are definitely beginning to warm up ever so slightly.

Tuesday was one such day, where despite some frost first thing, by around 10am the sun had warmed the ground and the air, making it a pleasant temperature for a walk.

The sky was cloudless and the most amazing blue; it was so peaceful walking with Rosalie in the carrier, we barely saw a sole all the way up to the common.

Having Rosalie hugged so close to me is like having a little hot water bottle, so by the time we made it to the common I was feeling quite warm, and Rosalie must have been comfy as she fell asleep, just in time to miss the view. I love it when she falls asleep in the carrier, she looks so peaceful and I can kiss her little cheeks as many times as I like without her pushing me away!

I strolled over to a bench and just took a moment to appreciate the view -  I could have sat there for hours, holding my poppet, breathing in the fresh air and soaking up the sun with its strength just hinting that spring might be around the corner.

I do enjoy autumn and winter, but after a while I long for the warmth and light evenings of spring and summer. I can't wait to get out in the garden with Rosalie, seeing her walk on our lawn for the first time and getting the paddling pool out again, we've got some exciting months ahead!

But for now, I'm content to enjoy the anticipation that spring is coming!

Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you will
look back and realise they were the big things.
