Autumn Discovery Jar

We went on a wonderful family autumn walk last weekend - it was just perfect - the weather was crisp and sunny, the trees were gorgeous colours and there were plenty of leaves for kicking! We picked up lots of autumn treasures and I used it to create a Discovery Jar for Rosalie.

Because Rosalie is still in the phase of putting everything in her mouth, I wanted a way that she could safely experience the delights of autumn. By putting our autumn treasures in a jar, Rosalie is able to see them and we can talk about the colours, shapes and sounds, safely.

Our jar contains a pine cone, oak leaf, holly leaf, evergreen leaves, hazelnuts, chestnuts, a teasel and a pretty feather.

Why don't you have a go at making one for your baby?
