#8 Crown Loaf {Baking Bible Challenge}

I hate making bread. I hate the way the dough gets stuck on my hands; I hate the way you have to wait around for it to rise; I hate all the cleaning up; and then after all that effort I am always disappointed with the results! But, for the sake of this challenge, I am doing it!

The Crown Loaf can be found on page 286 of Mary Berry's Baking Bible. Here is my attempt:

It actually doesn't look too bad, apart from the uneven size of the 'rolls', but it was denser than I had hoped. We ate it with some homemade pumpkin soup - a classic autumnal meal.
