50 things that make me happy

Thank you so much to the lovely Sammy from From Mamma With Love and Katy from What Katy Said for asking me to join in with this little happiness post, sharing 50 things that make me happy.

So without further ado, here's my list:

1. Rosalie's smile
2. My rock, Jimbo
3. Seeing Rosalie and Daddy together
4. Sunshine
5. Walking in the countryside with my family and not seeing anyone else
6. Visiting my parents and showing Rosalie where I grew up
7. Catching up with friends, old and new
8. Eating pizza
9. Reading a good book (on my kindle)
10. Watching Rosalie dancing
11. Picnics
12. Having flowers in the house
13. Baking cakes
14. Eating cake
15. Cadbury's Dairy Milk
16. Jimmy's hot chocolates (the full works, with cream and marshmallows)
17. Blue skies
18. Crisp, bright autumn days
19. Taking Rosalie to the swings
20. Writing this little blog of mine
21. Taking photographs
22. Drinking earl grey tea
23. Devon - visiting and dreaming of moving there
24. Decorating our house and making it a home
25. Making the garden look pretty
26. Seeing Rosalie with her grandparents and the joy she brings them
27. Watching cheesy sci-fi
28. Being warm
29. Cosying up under a blanket to watch a movie
30. The smell of cut grass
31. Singing (in private, I'm not a singer, I don't sing)
32. Dancing (badly) around the kitchen
33. Watching Rosalie sleeping (so beautiful and peaceful I also want to cry, good tears)
34. The first blossom on the trees in spring
35. Cream Teas (cream then jam, the only way to eat a scone)
36. Jim coming home early from work
37. The run-up to Christmas - the anticipation, music, food...all of it!
38. Seeing Rosalie's enthusiasm at Jolly Babies
39. Jim making me a latte after lunch at the weekend
40. The Greek Islands - many happy holiday memories and I'd love to take Rosalie
41. Lists and being organised in general
42. Reading books with Rosalie
43. A clutter-free house (in my dreams, I have yet to encounter the reality)
44. Hearing Rosalie's laugh, and being the one to make her laugh
45. Going to the movies and eating all the popcorn before the film starts
46. Looking through my wedding album
47. New slippers
48. My Kenwood Chef mixer, the unsung hero of my kitchen
49. Going to London to watch a musical (haven't done this in so long!)
50. Having a plan

I think I'm a bit late joining in with this, so most people have done it already, but if you haven't then I invite you to write your own list of 50 things that make you happy - it's quite cathartic and I rather enjoyed it. It actually made me realise that although the joy Rosalie brings me has rather taken over my life, and many of the things that make me happy are quite ordinary, there are some things which I haven't done in a very long time. Maybe I'll have to rectify that!

Now go, write your list.

    1. It's really interesting seeing what makes everyone happy isn't it? And the things you read on someone else's list that you forgot to put on your own! xx
