Happy Days #14

As usual, I'm joining Katy at What Katy Said and Jenna at Tinyfootsteps for their Happy Days linky, which encourages us to look back over our week and focus on the happy times.

We've had a really great week this week - lots of positive mental attitude and getting out and about has made us very happy!

Out and about


Last Sunday we went to Baby G's first birthday party - it was lovely to be invited and to meet the wider family. J had made a beautiful cake, unfortunately I didn't get a good photograph of it. I did get this pic of Rosalie stuffing her face though!



We got out of the house every day this week - to the park a few times, for a walk with my friend E in her lunch break, to Jolly Babies and a carrier walk over to the canal and to meet the real cows for Rosalie to moo at!

Rosalie coped well with her immunisations - she cried a lot at the time, as is to be expected, but we didn't have any adverse reaction, and no disturbed sleep.

Fun at home


We've not had that much time at home this week, but there have been some fun times with Rosalie 'dancing' along to music. She loves her nursery rhyme CD and wiggles especially vigorously to 'Daddy's taking us to the zoo tomorrow', but she also likes grown up music and was having quite a bop along to my Dolly Parton album today!

I've also been indulging Rosalie in her new found love of making animal sounds with this book.

Since we had our best frocks on after G's party, I took the opportunity of playing around with my tripod and remote shutter release and managed to take a few good photographs of me and Rosalie.



I have also been joining in with Project 365, following prompts from the lovely Vickie at A Pocketful of Dandelions. Her photographs are amazing so if you aren't following her on Instagram then you should! You can also see my slightly less amazing photos on my Instagram.

Time for me


This week seems to have flown by without any real me time. No, wait, I lie, I did watch the Call the Midwife Christmas special - better late than never!

My happiest moment


Definitely got to be our morning walk on Thursday - it was a proper winters day with bright blue skies and a nip in the air. The sun was causing the mist to rise off the fields and the canal looked beautiful. The moment could only have been made more perfect if Daddy could have been with us too.

Next week I would like to try...


Please let it snow on Sunday so that I can tick loads more things off my winter bucket list!

    Aww love that photo of you and Rosalie, love her toothy smile :)
    Hope we get some snow too I want to play in the snow. And Declan keeps asking to build a snowman

    I love the photo of you and Rosalie! Such a pretty mummy and daughter!

    We had about 20 seconds of snowfall today and Bubs got so excited about building a snowman. She was so upset when it stopped snowing. I think you and I live not too far from each other
    (Berkshire for you yes?) so fingers crossed for snowfall in the Hampshire/Berkshire region!!!

    Lastly I wanted to say a huge thankyou for all of the lovely support you've given me on my blog, Twitter and Instagram. I love having you as my Project 365 buddy! Vx

    Love that you have managed to get out and about so much this week and some lovely photos from your outdoor fun too. The photo of you and Rosalie is gorgeous. Glad I'm not the only one who was late catching up with the Call the Midwife Christmas special - I've only just caught up with it too! :-)

    Sorry you didn't get the snow you were hoping for, I live in Guildford (Surrey) and we haven't seen any snow at all yet! Fingers crossed for this week xxx

    Well done for getting out every day - Roaslie looks like she had the time of her life! So cute. :)

    Love the photo of you both!! I am awful at taking photos with me in them but I really need to as it will be lovely for the girls to look back on.

      Thanks Katy! I had my camera on what I call 'paparazzi mode' - so I probably took about 100 photos and there were maybe 4 good ones! I watched the first episode of the new series of Call the Midwife yesterday - that's my 'me time' for this week ;) xx
