So this year I'm going to try something different. One (moderately) big change. The clue is in the title...
I want 2015 to be the year I 'stop worrying and start living' (to borrow the words of Dale Carnegie). I have always been a worrier, and often I think it does hold me back from doing things or from enjoying things to the full. But now I have Rosalie, and I'm nearly 32 for goodness sake, I think it's time to kick my worry into touch.
I reckon that my worry is connected to confidence, positivity and gratitude, so I will be hoping to address these too. I intend to start keeping a gratitude journal to keep me focused on the happy realities rather than worrying about the maybes.
So that's my resolution for the new year. What about you?
I hope you all have a brilliant, happy and productive 2015!
Jess x

What a great quote!
ReplyDeleteI think motherhood increases our worry levels a hundred fold. There are so many ways in which we're made to feel inadequate as mums that eventually we start doubting other aspects of our lives too. I say that 2015 should be the year we all cut ourselves some slack and blow a massive raspberry at our worries. :-)
Thanks Vickie, I totally agree, becoming a mum has only made me worry more, but that's not a good example to set so I'll join you in blowing that raspberry! x
DeleteI tend to worry to much too so this is a great resolution that everyone could follow. Writing a gratitude journal is a great idea! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bek, Happy New Year to you too!
