Me & Mine - August 2015

I'm not too sure what's happened to the summer, it seems we have spent more time in wellies than sandals this month! The garden really needed some rain and is looking much better for it though, so at least that's one positive. Oh, and Rosalie loves splashing in puddles, so she's had plenty of fun!

This month's Me and Mine family portraits were taken on my birthday, which in actual fact was a glorious day - we went to The Vyne and I remembered to take my tripod so that I could capture us all together.

In retrospect I didn't choose a brilliant location as the lighting wasn't very good so these photos are all a bit grainy, but I still like them. I don't seem to be very good at piloting my camera when I'm not behind it either...

Despite the mixed weather, we've all had a pretty good month. I took my mum for afternoon tea for a 60th birthday treat and we both had such a lovely afternoon. Whilst my parents were visiting they also did a bit of babysitting so Jim and I got to have a date night - dinner and a movie - which was just fantastic. But the highlight of my month was my baby girl attempting to sing Happy Birthday to me!

Farewell August, so long summer! Next stop Autumn!

  1. Gorgeous photos, Jess. :)

It has been a rather wet month, hasn't it?! Our lawn has never looked so green, though!

I still need to invest in a tripod as for the last two month's we've had to rely on Stephen's mum to take our Me & Mine photo and she has a habit of lopping off part of Stephen's head!! ;)

Rosalie is looking so grown up!
