I have a feeling that this summer is going to be fantastic because Rosalie is at such a fun age - she loves to run around and explore, and she's very inquisitive. I think the atmosphere at a fair will be wonderful for her to experience, and hopefully there'll be some teacups to ride on!
She has really taken to watering the plants in the garden, so I think growing cress together will be fun because it is so quick to germinate she might actually make the connection between the seeds, the sprouts and the leaves she can eat.
I have some lovely photographs of Rosalie (and daddy) in the paddling pool last summer, so I am certain she will enjoy it even more this year as she'll be able move around by herself and have a proper splash about.
Her compassion towards the needs of teddy and baby doll has grown over the past few weeks as she has started to offer them her food and beaker at snack time - I think it may be time to have a teddy bears' picnic!
So here it is, my toddler-friendly summer bucket list of ten activities for June, July and August:
1. Go to a fair
2. Eat ice cream
3. Go to the beach
4. Play with water in the garden
5. Have a BBQ
6. Grow cress
7. Draw with pavement chalk
8. Play with bubbles
9. Splash about in the paddling pool
10. Have a teddy bears' picnic

What a wonderful bucket list. It has given me lots of ideas especially growing some cress, I used to love doing that when I was younger. :)

Thanks Becky, glad it's given you some ideas :) I'm the same with the cress, so thought it would be a fun thing to re-visit with R xxx
DeleteWhat a fab list Jess! I hadn't thought of growing cress but I reckon Bubs would love it. Thanks for the inspiration and I hope you get to cross everything off of your list. Vx
ReplyDeleteThanks Vickie! You should definitely get in on the cress-growing action - it grows so fast I'm sure Bubs will love seeing it grow x
