A Dresser Transformed {Up-cycling}

We moved to our new home last summer and it is brilliant; so much wonderful space and best of all we have a fantastic kitchen-diner which is going to be the hub of our home!

We didn't have much furniture to fill the space, as our last place was about half the size, but we soon rectified that.

I have dreamt for a long time about having a proper traditional dresser, and was so pleased when I found a secondhand one for sale locally on eBay. I had a clear vision of what I wanted my dream dresser to look like, and here it is, before and after:

I transformed this...                                 To this...

My husband did some minor repairs to the wood, then we cleaned it up, sanded it down and I began painting. I used the Craig & Rose 1829 paint in Regency White which has a gorgeous finish. We sanded the top and knobs and treated with Danish Oil. I am so pleased with the end result, and it now houses all our wedding china.
