#59 Yorkshire Gingernuts {Baking Bible Challenge}

On to bake number fifty nine. I love the look of these Yorkshire Gingernuts with their golden colour and crackled tops - homemade yet strangely uniform in shape and size.

I don't really like the hard gingernuts you get in the biscuit aisle at the supermarkets, so I was pleased that these are worlds apart - the ginger flavour is not too overpowering and the consistency is slightly chewy which I like. You can taste that they have golden syrup in them too!

If I were on bake off I guess I could have weighed my dough to get each biscuit exactly the same size, but I wasn't and I think the slight variation makes them rustic!
