Baby's first handmade toy

I really wanted to make a special toy for our baby and as owls are so popular at the moment, not to mention cute, I thought I'd make a little felty owl.

I made a template using paper and then cut the bits from felt. I stitched the eyes, tummy, beak and wings onto the front and then used blanket stitch to sew the back and front together. I filled Oaty the Owl with stuffing until the blanket stitch was straining, then closed up the hole.
